On the seafront in Seaham there sits a beautiful sculpture by the local great metal worked Ray Lonsdale. Officially named 1101 (Eleven-O-One) to reflect the first minute of peace as the armistice began at 11am on 11th November 2018. More popularly its knows simply as Tommy and is one of the focal points of Seaham town.
This particular image was taken on a morning where the sky was suffused with wonderful purples and pinks providing a great backdrop for this iconic sculpture
